From Russia With Love

Sorry, I couldn't resist the James Bond connection, but I'm sure you will be loving your trip.

I will definitely be keeping up with you and feeling envious at the same time knowing my time in the Arctic has ended.

Sounds like you had a good day on the fourth too....canning...{read more}

Summer Swimwear

Hi Lollie and Summer Campers!

Most people along the parade route were in cold weather clothing.  I actually had to put a down vest on at times during the parade.  That was ok because it looked like a life jacket.  I would take it off after I warmed up enough or when we came upon a...{read more}

Typical Workday

Hi Freda!

I basically have two types of workdays.  The first is when we do what is called a diurnal measurement.  That is when we measure photosynthesis on the different plots over a 24-hour period.  We have a set rotation on 15 of the plots and begin every four hours.  A single...{read more}

Arctic Plant Pollinators

Hi Robert,

Thanks for tuning in.  I'm afraid I'm not goiing to 'bee' much help for the lack of bees in your area.  I am essentially a novice when it comes to keeping bees and continue to learn.  Let's hope it's just a temporary population decline.

I see two dominant flowerng...{read more}

Joe's

Misty,

It is still on my list and I WILL get there. You are right about the Indian Ocean. I don't know if I'll ever make it though. You'll have to be my eyes and ears about it.

What are you going to be doing in South Africa?

Stay tuned about Joe's Museum.

Going Great

Hey Laney!...so it was you.

Like I said, things are going great.  I have not been able to run that much but some.  I'm concerned about coming home to the heat and humidity though.  It may take me a while to adjust.

See you in a week.

Carbon Question

Hi Ben,

You are correct about the Indian Ocean.  Probably not the toughest question you've ever had to answer.  I was also corrected that there are actually 5 oceans, counting the Southern Ocean that is around Antarctica.  That will make it very tough to swim in all the world's oceans...{read more}
