Hello Hannah and Kim,

So sorry for the delay in responding - I was in travel mode and then my computer needed a new keyboard!

The Weddell seals are not dangerous at all! They are so playful and curious! It's almost like they are saying "hey - you swim funny, let us show you how it's really done... watch this!"

We didn't really have any dangerous expeditions. We are very careful with everything we do. I suppose people might argue that diving under 15 feet of ice is dangerous, but we have so many safety systems is place that it feels safe!

The only "nervous" moment I had was when the zipper pull to remove the dive helmit broke and my team-mates couldn't get the helmet off my head...I didn't like that feeling, but was COMPLETELY safe and had PLENTY of air!
