Students create scaled models of the Taylor Valley glaciers and lakes (or any valley of your choice!). This lesson covers basic glacial features and has students reading and using Topo maps to construct a replica of Taylor Valley, Antarctica (or the valley of your choice!).

A simple craft activity where students research an Arctic or Antarctic explorer and make index cards with pictures and information about the explorers on them. The cards are then connected by paper clips or string to make a dangling string for each explorer or expedition to be hung around the room.
